Teen Counseling in Atlanta, GA
Therapy for Teen Boys, and the Parents Who Love Them
Teen counseling in Atlanta can help when your son is shutting down, acting out, or drifting further from the person you know he is. You’ve tried talking. You’ve tried setting limits. Nothing seems to get through. You’re worried, frustrated, and unsure how to help him feel understood and motivated.
When counseling teens boys, my approach is genuine and pressure-free. Sometimes that’s a straight conversation, and sometimes it’s a game on the table, because trust comes first and breakthroughs follow.

What Teen Counseling Can Help With
- Anger, defiance, and acting out
- Withdrawing, shutting down, or pulling away from the family
- Low motivation or struggles at school
- Big changes at home, like a divorce, a move, or a loss
- Constant conflict between you and your son
Parenting Support for Parents of Teens
Your son isn’t the only one who needs support. I work closely with parents, offering concrete parenting strategies and helping bring peace back into the home. Sometimes the best first step is a session with just you, so you have a plan before your son ever joins. I’ll help you:
- Get specific about what’s happening, not just “he won’t listen,” but when it happens and what’s underneath it
- Build a consistent approach to limits and communication, instead of reacting in the moment
- Work through differences between parents so your son isn’t caught in the middle
- Walk away with practical tools you can use that same week
If the strain is spreading across the whole household, my family counseling page explains how I help everyone get on the same page.

FAQ
What if my son doesn’t want to go to therapy?
That’s common with teens. Many families start with sessions for the parent, working on strategy and communication, and I bring the teen in at a pace that works. When he does join, I keep it real and pressure-free.
What does parenting support look like?
Parenting support is practical guidance for you as the parent. I look at what’s happening at home, help you build a consistent approach to limits and communication, and give you tools you can start using right away.
How do I get started?

Do you accept insurance for family counseling?
I currently do not accept insurance. I can offer you a superbill which can be submitted to your insurance for out-of-network coverage
